Dr. Martin Fornefeld has a doctorate in Engineering. After three years as an assistant at the Technical University of Clausthal including studies abroad in Berkeley (USA) and Asia, he first held a management position at Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme AG. Following, he spent nine years as director of an international management consultancy with general commercial power of procuration. Before Dr. Fornefeld founded MICUS in 2000, he was a partner of this consultancy. Today, he is chairman of the management board and managing partner of MICUS Strategieberatung GmbH. Dr. Fornefeld's particular expertise lies in the areas of strategy consulting, market studies and public-private business models/partnerships, which he has significantly advanced in recent years, especially in the area of broadband expansion.

Andreas Spiegel (Diploma in Law and Master of Engineering) is managing director and project manager at MICUS Strategieberatung GmbH.
Mr. Spiegel studied Law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-University of Münster and graduated with the first state examination with a diploma. For his master thesis in the study programme "Information and Communication Systems and their Management" he dealt with the topic "Structures and Organisational Models for a successful NGA expansion in rural regions" and was then employed at BBCC.NRW. At MICUS, Spiegel is responsible for organisational strategies and restructuring in the ICT sector, and for consulting in matters of funding.

Andreas Mescheder (M.Sc.) is chief operating officer and project manager at MICUS Strategieberatung GmbH.
Andreas Mescheder (M.Sc.) is managing director and project manager at MICUS Strategieberatung GmbH. Mr. Mescheder studied Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing at the University of Osnabrück. Already during his studies he specialized in the acquisition, processing, analysis and presentation of spatial data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and, in particular, in the automated planning of backbone routes. At MICUS, Mescheder is responsible for NGA network planning at all administrative levels, NGA detailed planning and the implementation of feasibility studies.

As in-house lawyer at MICUS, Dr. jur. Julia Spiekermann is responsible for legal advice in public award procedures.
Dr. Spiekermann studied Law at the University of Bremen. Afterwards, she held a scholarship from the University of Bremen, which gave her the opportunity to write her dissertation on the European legal framework. During this time she also worked for the Research Centre for European Environmental Law at the University of Bremen. The submission of funding applications and, in particular, the following awarding procedures usually raise a number of legal questions. In order to obtain and ultimately retain funds, it is particularly important to comply with European law on state aid in all project phases. With Dr. Spiekermann, MICUS has additional expertise and a further contact person for our team in legal and regulatory questions, which are indispensable for technical advice within the tenders for fibre optic construction.

Steffen Gräuler (M.Sc.) is chief technology officer (CTO), authorized signatory, and project manager at MICUS Strategieberatung GmbH.
Mr. Gräuler studied Geoinformatics and Remote Sensing at the University of Osnabrück. Already during his studies he specialized in solving spatial problems through geocoded model calculations in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Mr. Gräuler is responsible for market studies, analyses for market potentials and NGA detailed planning at MICUS.
